Junior Management Analyst (NSGS)

GovCIO is seeking a Junior Management Analyst to support mission-critical IT programs for the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). This position will serve as a key operational resource, working directly with the NSGS team to provide critical IT acquisition deliverables, manage procurement pipelines, and conduct market research. This position will be located in Alexandria, VA and will be a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
As a Junior Management Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring administrative and acquisition requirements are met while keeping procurement workflows moving efficiently. You will be responsible for day-to-day transaction management, stakeholder coordination, and tracking product delivery timelines. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborate directly with the NSGS team to draft, format, and track IT acquisition deliverables and procurement documentation.
• Manage and process hundreds of purchase requests (PRs) simultaneously, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper logging within tracking systems.
• Coordinate actively with internal and external stakeholders to expedite approvals, clarify requirements, and resolve procurement bottlenecks.
• Conduct market research on vendor capabilities, product pricing, and lead times to ensure optimal product delivery and value for the government.
• Track the end-to-end lifecycle of IT equipment orders, monitoring logistics and shipping statuses to ensure timely delivery to USCG end-users.
• Quality-check acquisition packages and procurement records to ensure complete alignment with federal and agency-specific purchasing regulations.
• Assist the team lead in compiling data, creating regular status trackers, and maintaining clean repositories for all hardware and software procurement actions.
• Support operational efficiencies by identifying process improvements within the high-volume purchase request workflow.

Qualifications
High School with 0 - 3 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience supporting high-volume administrative, tracking, or procurement operations, preferably within a federal contract environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets and track hundreds of fast-moving transaction entries or purchase requests accurately.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience coordinating multi-stakeholder workflows across different teams.
• Strong organizational skills and experience conducting market research or tracking commercial logistics and product delivery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, filters) and integrated tools for scheduling and status reporting.

Clearance Level: Must have an active Secret clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience

• Direct experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard missions, specifically working with NSGS, C5I, or similar technical directorates.
• Familiarity with the federal acquisition lifecycle, military purchasing pathways, or DoD/DHS procurement regulations.
• Experience working with government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) or commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) IT hardware and software licensing.
• Familiarity with integrated tracking portals, SharePoint, or automated procurement workflow systems.
• A foundational understanding of IT infrastructure, networking equipment, or telecommunications hardware.
