Job Description

Rotational Program - Enterprise Analytics & Retirement Strategy The TIAA Enterprise Analytics & Retirement Strategy & Rotational Associate Program is a full-time, two-year early-career experience for individuals graduating in 2027. Associates complete four six-month rotations across distinct Retirement Strategy & (RS) & TIAA Enterprise Analytics (TEA) opportunity areas, contributing to meaningful business work while developing breadth across analytics, strategy, data, and execution. Key Responsibilities and Duties
Rotational Associates will take ownership of defined workstreams and deliverables within each assignment, collaborating with data scientists, analysts, strategists, business leaders, and cross-functional partners. Responsibilities will increase in scope and independence as associates progress through the program.
Responsibilities across the four rotations may include:
  • Gathering, cleaning, validating, integrating, and analyzing data to answer business questions and support client, participant, and enterprise outcomes
  • Building and enhancing dashboards, recurring reports, data visualizations, analytical tools, and scalable self-service solutions using SQL, Python or R, Excel, and BI platforms
  • Applying descriptive statistics, exploratory analysis, forecasting, experimentation, or predictive methods to identify trends, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Documenting data sources, metric definitions, analytical methods, assumptions, controls, and quality checks to strengthen trust and reproducibility
  • Translating complex findings into clear insights, recommendations, executive-ready presentations, and decision-support materials
  • Managing assigned workstreams by establishing objectives, work plans, milestones, dependencies, measures of success, and stakeholder updates
  • Partnering with analytics, product, distribution, operations, technology, digital experience, marketing, advice, wealth, and Retirement leaders to define problems and implement solutions
  • Supporting Retirement Solutions and TRAC five-year planning through market research, competitive intelligence, client insights, analytics-backed prioritization, and opportunity assessment
  • Contributing to strategic roadmaps, governance forums, pilots, test-and-learn initiatives, and tracking of risks, decisions, delivery, and outcomes
  • Sharing knowledge across rotations and presenting rotation-end results, lessons learned, and recommendations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Participation in TIAA's Summer Associate Internship Program
  • Strong quantitative reasoning and the ability to structure ambiguous questions, investigate data, and draw well-supported conclusions
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python or R for data extraction, analysis, automation, modeling, or visualization
  • Ability to apply descriptive statistics, exploratory analysis, data-quality checks, and foundational predictive or experimental techniques
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms and an understanding of effective dashboard and visualization design
  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or better

The Retirement Strategy & TIAA Enterprise Analytics team uses data, insights, and disciplined execution to solve complex business problems, improve client and participant outcomes, optimize operations, and advance enterprise Retirement priorities.
Each associate completes four six-month rotations. Every rotation will be assigned to one of the opportunity areas below, with assignments selected to provide breadth across teams and experiences. Approximately 75% of the overall program will emphasize analytics and 25% will emphasize strategy and execution.
Rotation opportunities include:
  • Business Intelligence & Reporting - developing dashboards, automated reports, and data visualizations that provide stakeholders with real-time business insights
  • Predictive Analytics & Machine Learning - building statistical models and algorithms to forecast trends, identify patterns, and support predictive decision-making
  • Data Engineering & Management - working with data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting infrastructure that enables advanced analytics
  • Client Analytics & Insights - analyzing client behavior, preferences, and journeys to drive personalization and improve client satisfaction
  • Retirement Strategy & Execution - supporting long-term Retirement Solutions planning, translating enterprise priorities into executable programs, roadmaps, governance routines, and measurable outcomes across the three Retirement pillars
  • TRAC Strategy & Consultant Support - supporting enterprise B2C strategy, consultant and distribution priorities, participant experience initiatives, and pilots or test-and-learn efforts that inform the strategic evolution of the business

Base Pay Range: $63,000/yr - $73,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
