Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Wellpets, Yeovil on a part-time basis.
 

Wellpets Yeovil is a welcoming small animal practice focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our patients and clients. As a smaller branch, you’ll play a central role in the day-to-day running of the practice, building strong relationships with clients and becoming a key part of the local community. You’ll be working alongside a supportive team consisting of a Veterinary Surgeon, Animal Nursing Assistant and Branch Manager, with additional support from our Head RVN and our wider team at our Worle site.

How You’ll Make a Difference 

 
 
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. 
 
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. 
 
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00am – 6:00pm
1 in 4 Saturday mornings (4-hour shift) 
 
General responsibilities include:
 
*Deliver nursing care across theatre, inpatient and consulting settings 
*Run nurse clinics and provide preventative healthcare advice 
*Support anaesthesia and surgical procedures 
*Provide attentive inpatient care and patient monitoring 
*Assist with client care and occasional reception duties

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring: 
 
* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS 
* Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing 
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues 
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively 
* A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
