An exciting opportunity has become available for a Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Three Towns Saltcoats Dental Care. This is a full-time position and includes a later finish on Tuesdays until 7pm.
Based in the heart of Saltcoats, our well-established practice provides both NHS and private dentistry to patients from across North Ayrshire. You’ll be joining an experienced clinical team that takes pride in delivering excellent patient care within a professional, welcoming and supportive environment.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and wants to work in a practice where they can continue building their skills and experience. With a varied patient base and a mix of NHS and private care, no two days are quite the same.
At Three Towns, teamwork is a big part of how we work. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues and play an important role in helping us provide a positive experience for our patients from the moment they arrive.
Your Role
You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in a ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.
Other duties include –
Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges
About You
Qualified nurses must be GDC registered (full training provided for trainees)
Experience working in Private / NHS practices is beneficial
Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
