CI/CD Platform Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a CI/CD Platform Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is key to maintaining the stability and operational excellence of a mission-critical, enterprise-wide CI/CD platform suite, including Ansible Tower and related tooling. The position involves supporting ongoing deployments, ensuring seamless integration with core in-house systems, and helping the organization transition toward OpenShift and cloud-based architectures. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in CI/CD platforms, Ansible, and cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide end-to-end support of production applications, ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance
• Conduct in-depth problem analysis, troubleshoot system errors, and resolve performance issues
• Perform proactive application stability analysis to investigate performance concerns and identify improvement opportunities
• Take ownership of root cause analysis and implement appropriate remediation
• Lead chronic issue investigations to minimize business impact
• Collaborate with Engineering, Development, and Infrastructure teams on break-fixes, code updates, and production enhancements
• Handle application management, business continuity, server patching coordination, and vulnerability remediation
• Lead production incident triaging calls and provide on-call support, including a weekend rotation
• Execute disaster recovery procedures and strategies
• Respond to and resolve production tickets to meet SLA requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in production operations or a similar production support role, preferably in a CI/CD Platform environment
• Strong experience in OpenShift containers, Kubernetes, and Apache Kafka
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Tower, JFROG Artifactory, GitHub, and release orchestration platforms (e.g., XLRelease, Harness)
• Experience with build tools such as Cloudbees Jenkins or Github Actions
• Hands-on experience with SaaS and cloud-based platforms like AWS or Azure
• Expertise in Unix systems and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk
• Strong understanding of the CI/CD pipeline, artifact repositories, and dependency management
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Availability for on-call support, including weekend rotations

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with database platforms such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of F5 Load balancer, GTM, high availability architectures, and disaster recovery strategies
• Certification in Red Hat Linux, DevOps methodologies, or related fields

Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 per hour
