Telephony Engineer

Introduction: This position involves providing operational and advanced telephony administration, technical support for projects, and maintenance of telephony network systems. The Telephony Engineer will work on tasks related to telephony systems and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Provide telephony administration including responding to voice, voicemail, and call center requests
• Support telephony network projects and system improvements
• Offer engineer-level support for telephony network and unified communications
• Monitor telephony and network systems for proactive problem resolution

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience with Avaya on premise PBX systems
• 2+ years of experience administering VoIP and unified communications platforms
• 2+ years of experience with SIP, RTP, QoS, dial plans, call routing, and voice gateway technologies
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting voice quality, call routing, and E911 services
• 2+ years of experience with telecommunications infrastructure, including voice circuits and PSTN integration

Preferred Skills: Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud-based telephony solutions
