Job Description:
We are seeking a QA Lead with a passion for hands-on testing and quality assurance, who will actively participate in day-to-day testing activities while guiding a small team of QA engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for directly creating and executing test cases, managing automation, and driving the quality of our products. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring a hands-on approach to all phases of the QA process, from defining test strategies to executing and automating tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain QA strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and release-readiness criteria for FHIR-based healthcare interoperability and AI-enabled applications.
- Serve as a hands-on QA Lead by personally executing functional, integration, regression, exploratory, API, accessibility, and end-to-end testing.
- Test AI workflows and outputs for accuracy, consistency, completeness, false results, low-confidence scenarios, and appropriate human-review safeguards.
- Collaborate with clinical, policy, business, and technical SMEs to define expected outcomes and create representative test data.
- Lead defect triage, reproduce issues, verify fixes, maintain requirements traceability, and document test evidence and quality metrics.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and CI/CD quality gates for APIs, user interfaces, integrations, and critical workflows.
- Monitor production issues, interoperability failures, user feedback, and AI performance trends to identify regressions and model drift.
Requirements:
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in both manual and automated testing.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Proficient in scripting for test automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Experience in writing and executing complex SQL queries to validate data.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA and test management tools like TestRail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Healthcare IT and interoperability experience
