Job Description

DPP is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst - Advanced for an opportunity with our client in Columbia, SC.

Work location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension
Term: W2 position
Candidate location: Must be a resident of SC or willing to relocate prior to starting the role

Position summary:

The Quality Assurance Junior Tester will be assigned to projects for the agency, in collaboration with the Agency Project Management Office (PMO).
The PMO is responsible for staffing all agency projects as well as establishing and monitoring IT related governance and standards, which are followed by all enterprise project teams.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing tests on technical solutions to isolate and solve issues.
Initiates tests, analyzes results, and finds solutions to technical problems.
Demonstrate proficiency in Agency test processes and SDLC tools
Demonstrate ability to translate functional and technical requirements and technical designs into test cases
Develop and execute functional and technical test cases under the direction of test leads and senior testers
Create and maintain SDLC traceability from test cases to requirements and designs/software components; Assist in generation of requirement traceability matrices
Participate in defect triage, retest, and resolution
Create quality assurance documentation and reports as required

Required skills:

2 years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios
2 years knowledge of manual testing techniques (functional, regression, smoke, usability, boundary testing)
3 years deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid), business processes

Additional skills:

Develop and execute test cases; Clearly communicate and document test status and defects identified
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required education:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, healthcare or related field.
Years of experience can substitute for formal education.

Required certifications:

None required.
Technical and/or Project Management certifications from recognized sources are desirable.

Preferred skills:

2 years of experience with large enterprise or e-business systems
3 years of experience using QA tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar
3 years prior experience working in a standard SDLC (waterfall methodology) and in an Agile delivery
