Job Description

DPP is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst - Advanced for an opportunity with our client in Columbia, SC.
 
Work location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension
Term: W2 position
Candidate location: Must be a resident of SC or willing to relocate prior to starting the role
 
Position summary:
  • The Quality Assurance Junior Tester will be assigned to projects for the agency, in collaboration with the Agency Project Management Office (PMO).
  • The PMO is responsible for staffing all agency projects as well as establishing and monitoring IT related governance and standards, which are followed by all enterprise project teams.
  • Candidates who enjoy working on complex, change-oriented projects will find this position attractive.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for performing tests on technical solutions to isolate and solve issues.
  • Initiates tests, analyzes results, and finds solutions to technical problems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Agency test processes and SDLC tools
  • Demonstrate ability to translate functional and technical requirements and technical designs into test cases
  • Develop and execute functional and technical test cases under the direction of test leads and senior testers
  • Create and maintain SDLC traceability from test cases to requirements and designs/software components; Assist in generation of requirement traceability matrices
  • Participate in defect triage, retest, and resolution
  • Create quality assurance documentation and reports as required
Required skills:
  • 2 years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios
  • 2 years knowledge of manual testing techniques (functional, regression, smoke, usability, boundary testing)
  • 3 years deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid), business processes
Additional skills:
  • Develop and execute test cases; Clearly communicate and document test status and defects identified
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Required education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, healthcare or related field.
  • Years of experience can substitute for formal education.
Required certifications:
  • None required.
  • Technical and/or Project Management certifications from recognized sources are desirable.
Preferred skills:
  • 2 years of experience with large enterprise or e-business systems
  • 3 years of experience using QA tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar
  • 3 years prior experience working in a standard SDLC (waterfall methodology) and in an Agile delivery
