Material Handeler

Location: Johnson Creek, WI

Employment Type: 1st shift, 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday. Flexible, plus some weekends as needed.

Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Material Handler Responsibilities:

  • A Material Handler is responsible for gathering, checking and packing crates and boxes.
  • Attaching shipping information, etc. on all customer shipments.
  • Assisting in loading, unloading and distribution of materials, supplies and shipments.
  • Uses a forklift or pallet jack
  • Ensures that shipping materials/supplies are maintained for timely and efficient shipments.
  • Cleaning and organizing shipping/packaging area.
  • Ensure materials are properly stored, labeled, and handled to prevent damage and maintain accuracy.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with other warehouse or production-related duties as assigned.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment.


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling preferred.
  • Forklift experience and certification preferred, or ability to become certified.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to identify and report quality concerns.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
