Job Description

Job Title: EDI Support Specialist_NXP Special Orders
Location: Raleigh, NC (Locals only)
6 Months+

Must have Sterling Integrator experience in AS2, SFTP, & VAN setup and troubleshooting
Must have expert understanding in retail EDI documents including 850, 855, 860, 856, 810, & 846
Must have excellent communication, organization, and status tracking skills
 
SUMMARY
The EDI Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the full vendor EDI onboarding lifecycle for Advance Auto Parts, including vendor outreach, providing guidance regarding EDI requirements, document setup, testing coordination, validation, production readiness, and post-implementation follow-up. The role works closely with internal business and technology teams, as well as vendors and their EDI service providers to ensure accurate and timely electronic communication of purchase orders, PO acknowledgments, advance ship notices, invoices, inventory availability, and other business transaction data.
A critical function of this position is to build strong cross-functional and collaborative relationships with vendors and internal partners to understand onboarding requirements, resolve data and testing issues, and drive vendors through each phase of the process. Sterling Integrator EDI connection setup and testing experience is required.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Manage the full EDI vendor onboarding process from initial contact through production implementation and post-go-live stabilization
· Contact vendors and provide guidance regarding EDI requirements, onboarding expectations, testing timelines, and required follow-up actions
· Track vendor onboarding progress, maintain accurate status reporting, and proactively follow up on open tasks, delays, and outstanding validation items
· Escalate vendor issues as appropriate to ensure onboarding milestones and business commitments are met
· Validate EDI 846 inventory files for accuracy, completeness, mapping compliance, and alignment with Advance Auto Parts inventory availability requirements
· Identify trends in EDI onboarding process feedback and make recommendations for permanent solutions
· Data entry, export, reporting, and analysis across multiple systems
· Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials
 
QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 3 years’ experience with retail EDI documents and vendor onboarding, including 850, 855, 860, 856, 810, and 846 inventory files
· Advanced Excel skills
· Ability to read, create, and interpret ANSI X12 EDI specifications
· Minimum 3 years Sterling Integrator EDI AS2, SFTP, and VAN connection setup experience
· Experience using Sterling Integrator to drop files in QA environments and validate resulting output files for accuracy and expected processing results
· Experience coordinating vendor testing, validating EDI transaction data, tracking onboarding status, and escalating issues to appropriate internal or vendor contacts
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of vendors and/or team members
· Must demonstrate good organizational and follow-up skills and work independently with minimal supervision, including ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
· Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
3+ years retail EDI support and vendor onboarding experience, including coordination of EDI document testing, issue resolution, validation of EDI 846 inventory files, and Sterling Integrator experience dropping files in QA and validating output
