£55,000 – £59,500 including shift allowance

4 on 4 off – rotating days & nights

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Job Description We are looking for experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a major engineering and manufacturing site in Birmingham, specialising in the production of high-quality products for a range of specialist industries.

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across a range of industrial machinery, including furnaces, cranes and CNC machines.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and carry out PLC fault finding.
  • Monitor machinery performance, identify recurring issues and implement improvements.
  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain equipment safely and effectively.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications

  • Proven experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
  • Confident reading electrical drawings – this is essential.
  • PLC fault finding / ladder logic experience desirable.
  • High Voltage experience desirable.
  • ONC, HNC or City & Guilds qualification would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Heavy engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Company Benefits

  • £55,000, including shift allowance, with up to £59,500 available for more experienced candidates.
  • 9% employee / 10% employer pension contributions.

  • Overtime at 1.5x for shift work and 2x on Sundays.
