Job Description

Position Summary
Supports the on-premises HxGN EAM infrastructure stack and the EAM mobile platform, and contributes to the on-premises-to-cloud migration from an infrastructure and mobile-support perspective. Works alongside the Configuration & Integration Developer as a specialized, part-time or as-needed resource.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid, based in NYC/Queens — 3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute HxGN EAM version upgrades and patch deployments, including pre-upgrade analysis, test planning, regression testing, cutover coordination, and post-upgrade validation.
  • Manage the on-premises infrastructure stack: application server (JBoss/WildFly/WebSphere or equivalent), web server, database server (Oracle or MS SQL Server), server OS configuration, Java environments, and deployment artifacts.
  • Perform database administration and performance tasks: schema management, index optimization, archiving, query tuning, storage planning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery coordination.
  • Support development of the on-premises-to-cloud migration plan, including current-state assessment, data cleansing, migration sequencing, environment strategy, testing, security review, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Support implementation and administration of HxGN EAM Cloud, including tenant/environment setup, role and access configuration, and cloud support procedures.
  • Maintain non-production environments (DEV, QA, UAT, training/sandbox) and manage code/configuration promotion.
  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot the HxGN EAM mobile platform: mobile work order processing, asset/equipment lookup, inspections, checklists, materials usage, and barcode/QR/RFID use cases.
  • Support mobile deployment, user access, role-based permissions, device compatibility, and offline/online synchronization.
  • Coordinate with endpoint, network, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to resolve mobile connectivity, authentication, and device-management issues.
  • Monitor system performance, review logs, and diagnose bottlenecks in coordination with infrastructure and database teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience planning and executing HxGN/Infor EAM version upgrades on-premises, including database migration and application server reconfiguration.
  • Experience supporting the HxGN EAM mobile platform, including configuration, user support, and synchronization troubleshooting.
  • Experience with HxGN EAM Cloud or similar enterprise SaaS/EAM cloud environments.
  • Experience supporting an on-premises-to-cloud migration for EAM or a comparable enterprise application.
  • Solid understanding of Java application server administration (JBoss, WildFly, WebSphere, or equivalent).
  • Strong SQL proficiency (Oracle or MS SQL Server).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience leading or materially supporting a full HxGN EAM on-premises-to-cloud migration.
  • Familiarity with Hexagon documentation, support portals, and vendor escalation practices.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, change management, and formal testing practices.
  • HxGN EAM or Infor EAM certification.
