We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support our client, a large global organization operating within the agricultural, food production, and industrial manufacturing sectors. This role will support a major plant technology modernization program focused on upgrading technology hardware across more than 1,000 locations.
The Senior IT Project Manager will provide project management support across approximately five active workstreams, helping establish consistent project structures, coordinate cross-functional activities, and maintain visibility into key deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and risks.
This position operates within a hybrid project delivery model, with approximately 40% of the work supporting Agile activities related to pre-deployment architecture and solution development and approximately 60% supporting waterfall-based hardware deployments to individual plant locations.

Job Description

You will be responsible for bringing structure and consistency to an evolving program environment while ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility into project progress, priorities, risks, and required actions.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide project management support across approximately five active workstreams.
  • Partner with workstream leads to define project scope, deliverables, dependencies, responsibilities, and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans aligned with broader program objectives.
  • Organize project backlogs and coordinate task ownership, timing, prioritization, and completion.
  • Track project milestones, forecasts, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation activities.
  • Create and maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Develop and integrate a unified program roadmap across multiple workstreams.
  • Provide consultative project management guidance to workstream leads and program stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities across technical teams, business stakeholders, deployment teams, and external vendors.
  • Review project deliverables against documented requirements, expectations, and agreed-upon timelines.
  • Communicate project status, decisions, risks, dependencies, and required actions to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support change management efforts associated with technology modernization and deployment activities.
  • Establish practical, consistent, and repeatable project management processes within an evolving program environment.
  • Facilitate productive discussions and help maintain project momentum when stakeholders have competing priorities or perspectives.
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft Office applications to support communication, collaboration, planning, and project tracking.
  • Utilize JIRA, as applicable, to support roadmap development, backlog management, and storyboarding.

Qualifications
Required
  • At least 7 years of dedicated project management experience.
  • Experience managing complex infrastructure, hardware deployment, or technology modernization programs
  • Proven ability to lead multi-site implementations across large, geographically dispersed organizations
  • Hands-on experience using JIRA for roadmap development, backlog management, or storyboarding.
Preferred
  • Experience managing large-scale enterprise hardware deployment initiatives.
  • Experience supporting technology implementations or deployments across multiple physical locations.
  • Experience coordinating projects involving technical, operational, business, and vendor teams.
  • Experience supporting organizational change management activities related to technology implementations.
