Job Description

IMS Analyst - Sizewell C
Location: Suffolk or London - Hybrid Working
The Opportunity
Morson Edge are delighted to be partnering with Sizewell C (SZC) in the recruitment of an Integrated Management System (IMS) Analyst.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects and play a key role in the development of a new nuclear power station in Suffolk.
Sizewell C is a major nuclear new build project which has secured planning approval and Government financing support and is now progressing through construction and private investment. Once operational, the project is expected to provide reliable low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes for 60 years, playing an important role in supporting the UK's ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
Following the success of Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK's energy sector, contributing to a highly complex, highly regulated and nationally significant megaproject.
About the Role
As an IMS Analyst, you will provide technical expertise within the Integrated Management System team, supporting the development, maintenance and continual improvement of management system documentation across the SZC organisation.
This is a varied and demanding position, ideally suited to someone with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys working collaboratively across a complex project environment.
You will be responsible for developing and refining IMS documentation, including the creation of new procedures, updating existing documentation and retiring superseded documents. You will ensure that all documentation meets SZC standards and requirements within a highly regulated environment.
A key part of the role will involve managing and prioritising the procedure development pipeline, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring documentation progresses through review and approval within agreed timescales.
Experience with BPMN, process modelling or Enterprise Architecture tools would be highly advantageous.
You will also work closely with the digital team to support the publication of approved IMS procedures into the live environment and onto the IMS web portal, making strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills essential.
Key Responsibilities
As the IMS Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
Working as an integral member of the IMS team, contributing to a positive, collaborative and high-performing working environment.
Developing, reviewing and refining IMS documents and procedures across the SZC project.
Coordinating with management, process owners and project stakeholders to ensure timely document reviews, approvals and updates.
Working collaboratively across functions including Health & Safety, Security, Environment and Quality.
Ensuring process, safety, compliance and quality requirements are embedded within IMS documentation.
Developing detailed plans for the creation and update of procedures, including milestones, governance requirements and resource allocation.
Publishing new and updated IMS documentation and ensuring document attributes, process flows, permissions and relationships are correctly configured.
Maintaining and developing a prioritised procedure work pipeline, providing clear progress updates and escalating delays where appropriate.
Assessing the effectiveness of process improvement initiatives and making recommendations for further development.
Providing coaching, guidance and support to subject matter experts and project leaders on procedure development and best practice.
Supporting the implementation and adoption of the IMS across the business to help achieve key project milestones.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring information is accessible to relevant project stakeholders.
Maintaining the confidentiality of commercially sensitive and other confidential information.
Using appropriate IT systems to prepare reports, statistics, presentations and other information supporting the delivery of the IMS.
Building effective working relationships across the organisation and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for an experienced IMS, Management Systems, Process or Business Improvement professional who can demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to operate effectively within a complex, highly regulated environment.
You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working to deadlines and dealing with changing requirements, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a similar IMS, management systems, process or procedure development role.
Extensive experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of management system documentation.
Strong understanding and practical application of process modelling standards and design techniques.
Experience managing competing priorities and delivering multiple activities within a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build relationships at all levels of an organisation.
Ability to meet deadlines and remain calm and effective under pressure.
Degree-level education or equivalent experience gained within a highly regulated industry or major project environment.
Experience using Microsoft Visio to create and map business processes.
Desirable Experience
The following would be highly advantageous:
Experience working within a large-scale project organisation, ideally within the nuclear industry.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training and practical experience applying Lean methodologies to process improvement.
Experience applying nuclear management system standards.
Experience using Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
Experience with Orbus iServer or similar Enterprise Architecture/process modelling platforms, such as MEGA HOPEX, LeanIX, Software AG or ADONIS.
Strong knowledge of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN).
Experience working within an object-oriented environment involving objects, attributes and relationships.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to join a project of genuine national significance and contribute to the development of the management systems that underpin one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure programmes.
You'll work alongside experienced professionals across SZC, gaining exposure to a highly regulated nuclear environment while playing a key role in ensuring robust processes, procedures and governance are embedded across the project.
If you have experience in IMS, management systems, process development or procedure management and are looking for your next challenge within a major infrastructure or regulated environment, we'd be keen to hear from you.
