Senior Digital Platform Architect

Accountabilities

• Provide technical guidance and leadership in designing and developing reliable, high-quality, and cost-effective software solutions for assigned systems, subsystems, and platforms.

• Lead architectural decisions and advise project teams on complex technical challenges, including high-risk situations and system design considerations.

• Identify, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies to ensure alignment with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and long-term strategic priorities.

• Develop integration and implementation plans for new technologies, architectural enhancements, and system updates.

• Review software designs, architectural proposals, and project activities to ensure compliance with technical standards, development guidelines, and quality requirements.

• Provide actionable feedback to improve software quality, system reliability, performance, and risk management.

• Analyse complex scientific, engineering, business, and data-processing challenges to develop innovative technical solutions.

• Address application development, system administration, integration, and network-related challenges through effective architectural design.

• Mentor engineers and technical team members, promoting software design excellence, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

• Lead or contribute to significant cross-functional technical initiatives and strategic engineering programmes.

• Collaborate with project managers, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of cloud-based solutions.

• Contribute to innovative service offerings and digital platform capabilities that deliver business value and address evolving customer needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related quantitative discipline.

• Typically 8–14 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering, architecture, or related technical fields.

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript.

• Deep expertise in software systems design, development methodologies, and integration across diverse platforms and technologies.

• Strong understanding of cloud-based security concepts, including identity and access management (IAM), firewalls, VPNs, and related network security technologies.

• Proven ability to design and implement complex, scalable, and reliable software solutions.

• Demonstrated innovation through patents, deployed software solutions, or other significant contributions to software design and engineering.

• Strong technical leadership skills, with experience guiding architectural decisions and leading complex projects or programmes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical architectures and design proposals to diverse audiences.

• Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders and executive stakeholders, influence decisions, and negotiate technical and architectural options.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking capabilities.

• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to cross-functional collaboration and technical knowledge sharing.
