Project Manager

Description
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support high-impact initiatives within the financial services industry in South Carolina. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can guide complex, cross-functional work from concept through delivery while partnering with business and technical stakeholders. The role calls for a strong organizer and communicator who can keep projects moving, manage priorities, and ensure outcomes align with business goals in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Lead project efforts from initial scoping through execution, launch, and post-implementation follow-up for complex business and technology initiatives. Partner with stakeholders to define objectives, clarify needs, and convert business expectations into detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership groups to maintain alignment, resolve roadblocks, and support successful delivery milestones.

Track progress against schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies while providing clear status updates and escalation points as needed. Facilitate project meetings, planning sessions, and reviews to drive accountability, decision-making, and timely completion of key tasks. Apply structured project management practices across Agile or traditional environments using tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, and related platforms. Assess operational, compliance, audit, and control considerations throughout the project lifecycle to support delivery within financial services standards.

Manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced setting while adjusting priorities to meet deadlines and changing business demands. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience. At least 7 years of project management experience delivering large, cross-functional initiatives within business operations, information technology, or similar environments.

Background managing projects in banking, consumer finance, or other financial services settings, ideally including personal lending-related work. Demonstrated success overseeing the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and implementation. Strong ability to gather, document, and interpret business requirements and turn them into actionable project outcomes. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively across business teams, technical groups, vendors, and leadership.

Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Jira, and related platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work effectively in regulated and fast-moving environments. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.
