Position Overview

We are seeking a CAS Associate / Staff Accountant to join the Client Advisory Services team. This position will support a diverse client base with accounting, financial reporting, advisory, tax, and process-improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and an interest in developing a career in public accounting and client advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support client accounting and advisory engagements.
  • Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
  • Prepare financial forecasts, financial analysis, and KPI reports.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations.
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
  • Support payroll accounting and retirement contribution processes.
  • Maintain balance-sheet sub-ledgers and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with business tax filings, including 1096, 1099, payroll, and sales tax filings.
  • Support annual audits and transaction-related projects.
  • Assist with accounting remediation and implementation of new accounting procedures.
  • Support U.S. GAAP conversions and related accounting activities.
  • Assist with process improvements and accounting system implementations.
  • Provide training and guidance to clients on accounting processes and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members regarding accounting matters.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience; relevant internship experience may be considered.
  • CPA eligibility is required; active CPA certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client-service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, clients, and deadlines simultaneously.

Ideal Candidate Background

The ideal candidate may come from a Public Accounting Associate, Audit Associate, Assurance Associate, CAS Associate, or Staff Accountant background and should have experience working with clients and supporting accounting, reporting, audit, or advisory activities.
