Job Description

We are seeking a Accountant II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general accounting, revenue recognition, reconciliations, and financial close and a proven ability to analyze complex contracts, ensure SOX compliance, and deliver accurate, timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on GCD license agreements, including fee calculations and payment terms per contracts.


• Execute month-end and quarter-end close, including revenue recognition and trial balance reconciliations.


• Explain monthly foreign exchange variances and performance versus forecast and plan.


• Prepare present value analyses and intercompany and related-party reporting.


• Perform quarterly bad debt analyses and monthly clearing account/BITIN cash reconciliations.


• Track and report revenue share deals and support internal and external audits (PWC/EY).


• Ensure SOX and key controls are met monthly and create journal entries for the GL.


• Deliver ad-hoc reporting and analysis and work overtime as needed for closes.

Sub-System and GL Responsibilities:

• Review new contracts and change orders in PRISM for accuracy of financial inputs and transactions.


• Maintain Pay TV expression deals in PRISM, including subscriber updates and issue resolution with IT.


• Perform revenue reviews including stagger, non-delivery, straight-line DSTAR, renewals, and cash in advance.


• Manage non-GCD processes: Entitlements JE and reconciliations, Non-Theatrical (TDS) reconciliations, and TREC invoicing and aging.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting.


• 3-5 years in similar accounting roles with reconciliations and heavy data analysis.


• Strong knowledge of debits and credits and GAAP revenue recognition.


• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

Preferred Skills:

• CPA, SAP GL, and Oracle Fusion experience.


• Familiarity with PRISM, TVR, COGNOS, BW, SMARTVIEW, ORACLE, and SAP.


• Entertainment industry experience.


• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage deadlines.

Role Details:

• Start Date: 11/9. End Date: 4/30/2027.


• On-site schedule: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.


• Overtime expected during month-end and quarter-end. One weekend day per quarter likely.


• No travel expected. Three openings. Potential for extension or conversion.


• Interview process: One round with Andrew and Daisy.
