Appian Developer - Atlanta, GA - Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

3 8+ years of overall software development experience, including hands-on Appian development experience (tailor to seniority level).

Strong understanding of Appian Application Architecture: process models, records, reports, sites, groups, and rules.

Proficiency in Appian SAIL for building dynamic, responsive interfaces.

Solid SQL skills and experience with relational database design and data modeling.

Experience integrating Appian with REST/SOAP web services and third-party/COTS systems.

Familiarity with Java, XML, and standard web technologies (HTML/CSS) as they relate to Appian customization.

Working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile/SAFe delivery methodologies.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills for engaging with technical and business stakeholders.

Working knowledge of AI/automation concepts relevant to Appian's platform: AI Agents, agentic automation, intelligent document processing (IDP), RPA, and process mining/intelligence.

Appian Certified Associate Developer or Appian Certified Senior/Lead Developer certification.

Experience with Appian performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) in the context of Appian deployments.

Experience with process mining/mapping tools and cross-functional workflow design.

Prior experience in regulated or public-sector environments (e.g., security clearance, DoD/government engagements), where applicable.

Experience with Appian's mobile development features.

Hands-on exposure to Appian's AI capabilities: AI Agents, Appian Composer (AI-assisted spec-driven development), Data Fabric, MCP-based integrations, or Process HQ.

Understanding of responsible/governed AI principles (auditability, guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls) in enterprise automation contexts.

Familiarity with connecting Appian to external AI/data platforms (e.g., Snowflake AI Data Cloud) for data-backed, agent-driven decisioning.
