Role Overview

A position is available for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join a Physician Builder Team. This role involves partnering with clinical stakeholders to develop data solutions, create user-friendly dashboard visualizations, and serve as a mentor to team members learning analytics. The ideal candidate will possess a leadership mindset, thrive in a collaborative environment, and contribute to innovative projects involving machine learning and predictive analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Physician Builders to develop and implement data solutions that demonstrate clinical performance and address workflow inefficiencies.
• Serve as a mentor to clinical providers in the Physician Builder Program, strengthening their understanding of analytics and reporting tools.
• Design and build robust BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, with data sourced from Epic.
• Extract data from Epic Chronicles using SQL queries for use in Power BI visualizations.
• Conduct requirements gathering, data mapping, and process documentation to support reporting solutions.
• Perform complex data extraction and transformation, ensuring the accuracy and quality of analytics outputs.
• Develop deep subject matter expertise in clinical, operational, and quality data domains.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for supported reports and systems.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in business intelligence and data analytics, including the development of complex data models and visualizations.
• Experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Business Objects, or Tableau.
• Proven experience with Epic architecture, including understanding how to navigate and query its data tables.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced skill in SQL, including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI infrastructure and development.
• Knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts.
• Advanced skill in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large, complex data sets in a healthcare or clinical environment.
• Background in machine learning or artificial intelligence development.
• Previous clinical experience is highly beneficial.
• Innovative thinking and experience integrating multiple products and systems.
