Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Role – Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location – Mildenhall, Suffolk<br />Working hours – Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week<br />Capacity of role – Permanent position<br />Salary – Up to £50,000 per annum Our client is a leading manufacturer in their field and currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support their production facility.

This role is a pivotal role within a fast paced and progressive team.<br />We are seeking someone who is time served and looking to utilise their skills to further their personal development and career.

Main duties will include - • Supporting the maintenance of production machinery and ancillary equipment<br />• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs<br />• Stripping down machinery to replace worn or broken components<br />• Completing and updating maintenance tasks using a CMMS / maintenance software<br />• Supporting visiting service engineers<br />• Maintaining facilities across all sites<br />• Acting as the main point of contact for external contractors<br />• Identifying improvement opportunities and potential cost-saving initiatives<br />• Assisting other areas of the business with maintenance support as required Candidate Attributes - • 5–10 years’ experience in a mechanical/electrical maintenance role within a production or manufacturing environment<br />• Experience working with production machinery, ideally within a shift-based or 24/7 operation<br />• Strong mechanical aptitude, including strip-down and replacement of components such as bearings, conveyor belts, and other wear parts<br />• Experience using general workshop machinery and equipment<br />• Welding and fabrication skills<br />• A disciplined, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team<br />• Strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with colleagues at all levels and external contractors Please apply for this role by sending a CV to Gemma at (url removed) or call (01842) (phone number removed) for further information Skills Required Mechanical maintenance, Electrical maintenance, engineering, production machinery, diagnosing, stripping down machinery, mechanical aptitude, strong communication skills Qualifications Required<br />mechanical engineering, electrical maintenance Keywords<br />Mechanical maintenance, Electrical maintenance engineering, production machinery, diagnosing, stripping down machinery, mechanical aptitude, strong communication skills
