Job Description

GenTech Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading UK manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a modern, technology-driven manufacturing environment featuring advanced automation, robotic cells, CNC machinery, paint lines, and state-of-the-art production equipment. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across a wide range of manufacturing equipment. Work with single and three-phase electrical systems, inverters, drives, relays, PLCs, motors and robotic equipment. Interpret electrical drawings to support fault diagnosis and repair. Perform maintenance across automated production lines. Support continuous improvement projects to increase machine availability and reliability. Identify equipment issues and implement effective long-term solutions. Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping. Liaise with external contractors and service engineers when required. What We're Looking For Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with previous manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience. Proven electrical fault-finding experience. Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics. Fabrication experience is advantageous. Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery is highly desirable. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work to production targets. Shift Pattern This position operates on a rotating three-shift pattern: Week 1: Monday to Thursday 05:30 14:00, Friday 05:30 12:00 Week 3: Monday to Thursday 14:00 22:30, Friday 12:00 18:30 Week 5: Sunday to Wednesday 23:00 05:30, Thursday night through to Friday 05:30 Benefits Permanent, full-time position.
