Mid-Level Mechanical Valve Systems Engineer - Energy & Utilities

Constellation Energy seeks a Mechanical Valve Engineering Analyst to support safe, reliable operations across our energy generation fleet. In this role, you will analyze the performance, reliability, and lifecycle of mechanical valve systems used in power and utility applications. Responsibilities include reviewing design specifications, maintenance records, and test data to identify trends and risks; developing inspection plans; supporting root-cause analyses; and recommending engineering changes or upgrades. You will collaborate with plant engineers, reliability teams, and vendors to enhance asset performance and ensure regulatory and safety standards are met in a highly innovative, sustainability-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical valve performance, reliability, and lifecycle for utility-scale energy assets
• Review design documents, maintenance histories, and test data to detect trends and emerging issues
• Develop and refine valve inspection, testing, and maintenance strategies
• Support root-cause analyses and corrective action plans for valve-related failures
• Recommend engineering changes, component upgrades, and standards improvements
• Collaborate with plant engineers, reliability and operations teams, and external vendors
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality requirements for mechanical systems
• Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and decision support documentation
• Contribute engineering input to capital projects and outage planning
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with reliability and sustainability goals
