Contract Full Stack Workday Developer

Contract | Full Stack Developer | Workday Extend | JavaScript/TypeScript | APIs | Integrations

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Workday Developer to join a major transformation programme on a contract basis.

This is a hands-on development role requiring strong full stack engineering experience combined with practical knowledge of the Workday ecosystem, particularly Workday Extend. You will be responsible for building applications and integrations that extend Workday functionality and connect with wider enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and enhance applications using Workday Extend
  • Build modern Front End functionality using JavaScript/TypeScript and related web technologies
  • Develop Back End services, APIs and integration components
  • Integrate Workday with internal and third-party enterprise platforms
  • Work with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON and web services
  • Develop solutions around Workday business processes and data
  • Troubleshoot application, integration and performance issues
  • Work closely with Workday functional teams, architects and wider engineering teams
  • Contribute to CI/CD, testing, code quality and engineering best practices

Key Skills
  • Strong commercial Full Stack Development background
  • Hands-on Workday Extend development experience
  • Good understanding of the wider Workday platform
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and web development skills
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs/web services
  • Experience building integrations between Workday and external systems
  • Understanding of authentication, security and enterprise integration patterns
  • Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working within Agile delivery environments

Desirable
  • Workday Integration experience
  • Workday Studio/EIB/Core Connectors experience
  • Workday REST and SOAP API experience
  • Experience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Cloud and CI/CD experience

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Full Stack Engineer with Workday Extend experience to work on a high-profile enterprise programme delivering new applications and integrations across the Workday ecosystem.
