Job Overview

We are looking for an innovative Java Backend Developer who builds high-performance microservices and uses GitHub Copilot to accelerate development velocity and code quality. In this role, you will design robust server-side logic, optimize distributed systems, and integrate AI-powered developer tools into your daily coding, testing, and debugging lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Develop: Build scalable, secure, and resilient Java Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Leverage AI Productivity Tools: Use GitHub Copilot (Chat, Inline, and Agent modes) to generate boilerplate code, draft database queries, and refactor legacy code safely.
• Prompt Engineering & Context Management: Provide precise file context and meaningful comments to guide GitHub Copilot for accurate, idiomatic Java code generation.

• Automated Testing: Rapidly write and expand unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito with AI assistance.
• Code Review & Quality Control: Critically review, secure, and optimize AI-generated code to prevent security vulnerabilities (e.g., injection flaws) and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate: Work within Agile teams alongside frontend engineers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver robust end-to-end features.
• Required Qualifications & Skills
• Core Java & Frameworks: 5+ years of professional backend experience with Java (JDK 17/21), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA.
• AI Tool Proficiency: Hands-on daily experience with GitHub Copilot or similar LLM-based IDE assistants (IntelliJ IDEA or VS Code integration).
• Architecture & APIs: Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and secure RESTful web services.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git version control, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Critical Thinking: Ability to distinguish between correct AI suggestions and flawed logic, maintaining high code integrity
