Job Description
An excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to help commission a brand-new production line and shape its long-term performance within a large, well-established PLC manufacturing business.
This role may suit a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Project Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Reliability Engineer.

Key responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer:
- Support the installation, commissioning and optimisation of a new production line.
- Improve manufacturing processes, OEE, reliability, throughput, quality and waste.
- Analyse performance data and lead root-cause investigations.
- Deliver CAPEX and improvement projects from specification through to handover.
- Support tooling development, manufacturing trials, NPD and NPI.
- Work closely with operational teams, contractors, OEMs and specialist integrators.
- Produce engineering drawings, specifications and operating procedures.
We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who can demonstrate the following:
- Experience in a manufacturing, process, production, project or commissioning engineering role.
- Hands-on experience introducing or commissioning manufacturing equipment.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and continuous-improvement skills.
- Evidence of improving OEE, reliability, quality, throughput or waste.
- A relevant apprenticeship, HNC, HND, degree or equivalent engineering background.
- Experience of CAD, tooling, Lean Manufacturing, automation, process validation or reliability-centred maintenance would be advantageous.
