Recruitment Adviser

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to site)
Salary: £36,000 £41,000 per annum
Hours: Monday Friday, 8.30am 5.00pm
Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract

About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of housing solutions, is looking for an experienced Recruitment Adviser to join its HR Careers Team on a six-month contract.

You'll manage recruitment activity from vacancy approval through to onboarding, working closely with hiring managers to attract and select the right talent. A key focus will be designing and delivering online recruitment assessment centres, so we're looking for someone who can take ownership and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage vacancies from advertising and sourcing through shortlisting, interviews, offers and onboarding handover.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to support recruitment planning, candidate attraction and selection.
  • Source candidates through job boards, direct sourcing, talent pools, referrals and approved agencies.
  • Design, develop and deliver online recruitment assessment centres for designated roles and high-volume campaigns, ensuring assessments are structured, fair, consistent and aligned with role requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Monitor recruitment data, maintain accurate records and identify opportunities to improve recruitment effectiveness.
  • Ensure recruitment activity follows relevant data protection, right-to-work, safeguarding and pre-employment procedures.
  • Share recruitment knowledge and support consistent practices across the team.

About You

You'll have proven recruitment experience, either in-house or within an agency, and be confident managing vacancies independently in a fast-paced environment.

You'll also have:

  • Hands-on experience designing, developing and delivering online recruitment assessment centres, ideally for high-volume campaigns, with the ability to assess candidates fairly and consistently.
  • Strong sourcing, screening, interviewing and candidate-assessment skills.
  • Experience working with hiring managers and building effective working relationships.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of inclusive recruitment, confidentiality and data protection.
  • Confidence using recruitment systems, job boards and recruitment data.
  • A relevant recruitment, HR or resourcing qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for occasional travel to the required sites.

Experience in multi-site recruitment, direct sourcing or recruitment process improvement would be advantageous.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and meet the relevant vetting requirements.

Benefits

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Health membership and life cover.
  • 4% employer and 4% employee pension contributions.
  • Laptop, phone and other equipment provided as required.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Employee referral scheme.
