Your new company

You will be joining a growing and ambitious independent professional services firm specialising in tax and advisory services, with an excellent reputation in its market.

As the business continues to grow, it is investing further in its marketing capability to strengthen its external profile, deepen engagement with clients and intermediaries, and support its wider growth ambitions.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an entrepreneurial and collaborative business where you will have genuine visibility and the opportunity to make an impact.

Your new role

As Head of Marketing Communications, you will take ownership of the firm's marketing communications activity, with a particular focus on content, thought leadership, PR, brand profile, events and client engagement.

Working closely with Partners, Directors and the wider Business Growth team, you will help shape how the firm communicates with the market, raising the profile of its people and expertise while supporting wider commercial growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering the firm's marketing communications activity
  • Developing engaging messaging, content and thought leadership
  • Working with senior stakeholders to create articles, insights and external commentary
  • Translating complex and technical subject matter into engaging, accessible communications
  • Managing PR and external communications, including relationships with external agencies
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen the firm's media presence and market profile
  • Leading client events, seminars, webinars, networking activities and sponsorship opportunities
  • Supporting business development activity through campaigns, presentations and client-facing materials
  • Ensuring consistency across brand, messaging and tone of voice
  • Managing relationships with external suppliers and marketing partners
  • Measuring the effectiveness of communications activity and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

This is a senior yet hands-on role, offering the opportunity to influence the firm's marketing direction while remaining closely involved in delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced marketing communications professional with a strong background across B2B marketing, communications, content and brand.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 10+ years' experience within marketing communications
  • Experience within professional services, financial services, legal, consulting, tax, accountancy or another complex B2B environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong content creation and storytelling experience
  • Experience producing thought leadership and external communications
  • PR and external agency management experience
  • Experience delivering client-facing events, seminars or marketing programmes
  • Strong brand management experience
  • Confidence working closely with Partners, Directors and other senior stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how marketing supports business development and growth
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment

A CIM Level 7 qualification, Chartered Marketer status or equivalent senior-level marketing expertise would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return

This is an opportunity to join an ambitious professional services business at an exciting stage of growth, within a highly visible senior marketing position.

You'll have genuine scope to influence how the firm communicates with the market and take ownership of a broad remit spanning content, thought leadership, PR, brand, events and business growth.

The package includes:

  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • 33 days' annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
  • Option to buy and sell annual leave
  • Pension scheme
  • Life insurance
  • Healthcare from day one
  • Healthcare cash-back benefits for eligible treatments, including dental and neurology
  • Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme
  • Opportunity to participate in a staff equity scheme

You'll also have regular exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to play a central role in supporting the next stage of the firm's growth.
