Job Description

A Commercial Real Estate Attorney provides legal advice and representation to clients involved in commercial real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating contracts, handling zoning and land use issues, and representing clients in legal proceedings.

Commercial Real Estate Attorney 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of real estate matters, including:
Acquisitions and Dispositions: Handling all aspects of real estate acquisitions and dispositions, including due diligence, contract negotiation, and closing.
Real Estate Finance: Representing borrowers in real estate financing transactions, including drafting and negotiating loan documents and coordinating with lenders and other parties.
Leasing: Negotiating and drafting commercial leases for a variety of property types, including retail, office, and industrial.
Development: Assisting clients with real estate development projects, including land use and zoning issues, construction contracts, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 4-6 years of experience in real estate law, preferably at a large law firm.
Bar Admission: Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois.
Skills: Excellent writing, legal research, and analytical skills. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Academic Background: Strong academic credentials.
