Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our long‑standing law firm in Newark, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a new or experienced attorney who wants direct client interaction, and meaningful mentorship in a supportive environment. Our firm values work-life balance as you develop your legal knowledge and skills.
You’ll work closely with experienced attorneys across a variety of practice areas while developing the skills needed for a successful legal career. This includes litigation, probate, estate planning and real estate.
  • Duties*
  • Assist with legal research, drafting, and case preparation.
  • Support litigation, transactional, or general practice matters depending on firm needs.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and client meetings with senior attorneys
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Experience*
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active Ohio bar admission or eligibility to sit for the bar exam
  • Proven experience conducting legal research using LexisNexis.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal drafts and memoranda.
  • Interest in developing a broad legal skill set.
