Newstaff Employment Services is excited to announce an opening for a Factory Operative at our facility in Hitchin. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the manufacturing process, ensuring that our production operations run smoothly and efficiently. As a Factory Operative, your key responsibilities will include operating machinery, assembling products, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
- Assemble products with precision and efficiency according to specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all products meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and schedules.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Participate in training and onboarding of new team members as required.
- Previous experience in a factory or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to safely operate machinery and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work harmoniously in a team.
- Willingness to be flexible with shifts and adapt to changing production needs.
- Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Overall understanding of health and safety practices in a factory setting is a plus.
- Temp-to-perm opportunity with a pay increase after 3 months
- Full-time hours, Monday to Thursday 6am - 4.30pm
