Voice & Network Engineer
An exciting opportunity to broaden your technical skills and grow your career
We are looking for an experienced Voice SME / Voice & Network Engineer to join our small, highly skilled technical team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a strong background in Voice technologies and wants to broaden their experience across networking and data networking. While Voice will remain a key focus of the role, you will have the opportunity to develop your networking skills and gain hands-on experience across a much wider range of technologies.
Working within a small team means no two days are the same. Rather than being restricted to a narrow technical function, you will have the opportunity to get involved in different areas of the environment, work alongside experienced colleagues, take ownership of technical issues and develop new skills.
This role would suit someone who is technically curious, enjoys solving problems and is looking for a role where they can continue learning and develop their career.
The Opportunity
As a Voice & Network Engineer, you will support, maintain and troubleshoot voice and networking infrastructure across the organisation.
You will use your existing Voice expertise while developing your knowledge of wider networking technologies, including LAN/WAN, network monitoring, security and wireless.
You will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of technologies, giving you valuable exposure and helping you build a more rounded technical skill set.
Key responsibilities
We are looking for someone with a strong Voice background and a genuine interest in developing their networking expertise.

This role provides a genuine opportunity to expand beyond your existing Voice expertise and develop into a more rounded Voice & Network professional.
You will gain exposure to different technologies, projects and technical challenges, helping you build skills that can support your long-term career development.
?? Work in a small, collaborative team
Being part of a small team means you won't be confined to one area of responsibility. You'll have the opportunity to get involved, take ownership and make a real contribution.
You will work alongside experienced technical professionals and have the opportunity to learn from their knowledge while sharing your own expertise.
?? Variety in your day-to-day work
If you enjoy doing different things, this is a role where you can make an impact.
One day you could be troubleshooting a complex SIP or CUCM issue, while another could involve investigating a LAN/WAN problem, working with a firewall, supporting a Teams issue or getting involved in a network installation.
That variety provides an excellent opportunity to continually develop your technical skills.
?? Build a broader technical skill set
We want someone who is keen to grow. Your existing Voice expertise will be highly valued, while the role gives you the opportunity to develop further in:
In a smaller team, your contribution is visible. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of problems, influence how things are done and help improve the reliability and performance of our Voice and Network services.
The ideal candidate
We are looking for a Voice SME who wants more.
Someone who already has strong technical knowledge in Voice, but doesn't want their career to remain limited to one technology.
You will be a natural problem solver, comfortable working independently but equally happy collaborating with colleagues, suppliers and users. Most importantly, you'll have the curiosity and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and develop your career.
If you're a strong Voice engineer looking for the opportunity to become a broader Voice & Network Engineer, this could be an excellent next step in your career.
