Job Description

Job Title: Quality Engineer / Hardware Tester – Parking Technology
Location: Plymouth Meeting, PA – 100% Onsite, 5 days/week
Duration: 6+ Months extension

Job Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Quality Engineer / Hardware Tester with experience testing and validating integrated hardware, software, networking, and connected systems in a lab environment before field installation.

The ideal candidate will have experience with kiosks, controllers, payment systems, LPR cameras, parking/access-control equipment, EV parking systems, or similar connected devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, configure, and maintain hardware/software test environments.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and field validation testing.
  • Test kiosks, controllers, cameras, payment devices, networks, and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, configuration, and connectivity issues.
  • Review logs, document defects, and provide clear reproduction steps.
  • Support equipment staging, installation, commissioning, and go-live.
  • Work with engineering, QA, implementation teams, and third-party installers.

Required Skills:

  • 2–5+ years in Quality Engineering, Hardware Testing, Systems Integration, Field Engineering, or Technical Support.
  • Hands-on experience testing/configuring customer-facing hardware.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with test plans, defect tracking, logs, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical/technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work onsite and travel up to 20%.

Preferred: Parking systems, LPR cameras, kiosks, payment terminals, gate/access-control systems, EV infrastructure, API testing, SQL/database queries, scripting, or automated testing.

This is a fast-moving role, so we are looking for genuine candidates with strong hands-on hardware/testing experience.
