L2 Hi Fiber Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce's client in Lenoir, TN is seeking highly motivated and adaptable professional to join their Hi-Fiber Tiger Team, a specialized rapid-response deployment team supporting critical fiber infrastructure operations across multiple locations.

Summary

The Tiger Team is designed to quickly mobilize to high-priority sites, establish operational stability, implement best practices, and transition knowledge to local teams. Team members play a key role in ensuring successful stand-up, stabilization, and handoff of operations during short-term deployment engagements.
As a member of the Tiger Team, you will:

• Deploy rapidly to priority locations as business needs arise
• Establish operational stability and performance standards
• Support site start-ups, transitions, and operational improvements
• Train and mentor local personnel on processes and best practices
• Assist with the successful transition of responsibilities to local teams
• Execute structured handoffs and phased exit strategies
• Maintain readiness for deployment on short notice

Non-Deployment Responsibilities:
When not deployed, Tiger Team members will:

• Remain embedded within their home fiber operations team
• Support local business objectives and day-to-day operations
• Maintain certifications, system access, equipment readiness, and deployment preparedness
• Participate in ongoing training and operational improvement initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working in fiber, telecommunications, network infrastructure, or related field operations
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and operational needs
• Excellent communication, training, and team collaboration skills
• Comfortable with extensive travel and temporary assignments away from home
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong team-oriented mindset

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
