Title:  Sr. Hybrid Lead Buyer   *(This is a Priority Need)

 

Type: Perm/Full Time Employee

 

 

Industry: Not required to have nuclear experience, but client is in nuclear experience. It is okay to have Construction, MEP, Engineering, SCM, Cable, Plumbing, Concrete, and Steel.

 

Salary:

Compensation starting at: $ 142,285 - $ 167,394 / year and up dependent on candidate. There is an additional bonus ( 15% range)

 

Location: Eunice, New Mexico or Midland and/or Lubbock, Texas areas.

 

Travel: 20%- reimbursed or paid by Seine Client

 

·      Requires being in the office 2-3 days per week.

·      Hybrid can be  defined in that management wants them to be in person a few times to week.

·      It’s okay if they live 2-3 hours away. Client will pay for hotel, fuel to drive ( no flights-must be close enough  to drive)

·      They will pay to relocate to Midland or Lubbock, Texas if necessary and they don’t want to live in Eunice, NM.

Summary of Responsibilities

This opportunity is for a senior level procurement professional who, at the local/site level will support the Site''s goals of safety, people, and sustainability by assuming all commercial aspects of the acquisition of goods and services within a given category of spend for the operation.

 

Work with relevant customers/stakeholders and Procurement Manager in the development and execution of the customer aligned and integrated category plan(s).

 

Support the development of and mentor other individual contributors in technical Procurement matters and processes.

At a global level, the successful candidate for this role will develop and deliver long term sustainable value from U''s external spend within defined category of expenditure in alignment with Group plans.

 

As a member of a global category team, actively contribute to the development and execution of the category plan and associated projects in order to derive optimal value from the supply chain and the dissemination of best practice within SEINE CLIENT.

 

This individual will be the right hand of the VP of Procurement.

 

Global/international experience is an added plus.

 

Negotiate contracts.

 

Evaluate Suppliers

 

This role is more of a CAPEX division individual, meaning they will be more tied to the expansion of Seine Client; construction projects, steel suppliers, etc.

 

Cliché: Someone who has been there and done that.

 

Someone who knows how to acquire things: EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), and Architectural Engineering.

 

Someone who when auditing, knows what good looks like; Collect all ideas, make modifications with a new & improved procurement plan.

 

This project will be at least 7-8 years with a 5 Billion dollar cost.

 

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor''s degree in business or a related degree and 10 or more years of experience in procurement/supply chain management and have a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) credential.

Work Location: Eunice, NM - Hybrid 75/25

 

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that the incumbent will work from the office 2-3 days per week based on business need and work remotely the remainder of the week.

 

Work Schedule: 9/80 professional work schedule, some nights/weekends may be required

 

Travel Required: 20% of the time or less as required

 

Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and a L or Q level security clearance.

 

Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.

 

 

Primary Functions

 

Perform in accordance with our Foundational Behaviors, company values, and SEINE CLIENT Behaviors.

 

Closely liaise with the Group Category Management Teams to ensure that best practices are shared across the company and that U plans are fully aligned with Group plans.

 

Lead the development of medium to long term U Category Plans to provide clarity on the vision, strategy, and implementation processes ensuring value delivery (lower costs, mitigated risk, supply assurance) through detailed understanding of business requirements, supply market dynamics, and TCO impacts.

 

Implement effective and sustainable supplier management programs.

 

Lead the development, review, negotiation, execution, management, and documentation of significant and complex contracts and contract amendments in accordance with SEINE CLIENT''s policies and procedures to drive value.

 

Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, business partners, and senior leaders to gain support and cooperation in the delivery of sourcing projects and the category plan to drive savings and performance improvement.

 

Implement category and contract Key Performance Indicators to effectively manage the reporting processes and ensure optimal performance of contractors and suppliers.

 

Develop and mentor other individual contributors in the technical Procurement process and standards.
