Ability Advocates is opening applications for our Quarter 1, 2026 Traineeship Intake, offering real jobs, real qualifications and real support across multiple industries. These 12 month paid traineeships are designed with accessibility, flexibility and confidence building at the centre - so you can succeed in your role and develop long term skills.

About Our Inclusive Traineeship Program

Our traineeships combine:

  • Paid employment from day one
  • A nationally recognised qualification
  • A workplace trained in inclusive practices
  • Ongoing support from Psychologists, OTs and Employment Specialists
  • Tailored adjustments for learning styles, sensory needs and communication

We run quarterly intakes, providing consistent opportunities throughout the year.

Eligibility - For People with Disability

This program is exclusively for people with disability, including (but not limited to): autism, ADHD, learning differences, intellectual disability, mental health conditions, neurological conditions, mobility limitations, sensory impairments, chronic health conditions.

Provide one form of evidence, such as:

  • Clinician/allied health report
  • Disability Support Pension evidence
  • NDIS Plan or Access Letter
  • School/education disability verification
    (or any document confirming functional impact for 12+ months)
    We collect only what is necessary. All information is confidential.
Our Inclusive Recruitment Process
  • Specialist pre screen interview
  • Strength based, activity based assessment (no formal tests)
  • Personalised Candidate Success Profile (role fit & adjustments)
Successful candidates receives:
  • Supported onboarding and mentoring

  • Regular check ins across the 12 months

About the Role - ICT Support Trainee

Join an IT team and build foundational tech support skills.
You will learn to:

  • Set up devices and user accounts
  • Troubleshoot common software/hardware issues
  • Log and manage support tickets
  • Apply cyber safe practices
  • Communicate clearly with end users

Qualification: Nationally recognised IT qualification (e.g., Cert III in Information Technology) - confirmed at offer stage.
