The Project Delivery Manager role is a critical component of this model, ensuring that individual projects are executed effectively in alignment with the standards, governance, and frameworks established by the PMO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Project Delivery Execution- Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and quality.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans aligned with PMO standards and client expectations.
- Ensure all project artefacts (plans, RAID logs, status reports, change logs, etc.) are maintained in accordance with PMO-defined templates and processes.
- Track progress against milestones and proactively manage deviations.
- Execute projects in strict alignment with the PMO's delivery framework, governance standards, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure all required documentation, reporting, and controls are consistently applied across engagements.
- Provide timely and accurate updates to the PMO Lead, including status, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Escalate risks and issues early, ensuring appropriate visibility and support from the PMO.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders on delivery matters.
- Coordinate and facilitate key project activities, including:
- Kick-offs and onboarding activities
- Requirements workshops and planning sessions
- Steering committees and status meetings
- Ensure timely availability of client inputs, approvals, and dependencies.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with client stakeholders.
- Coordinate closely with Team Leads and technical consultants to ensure effective execution of project work.
- Ensure resources are aligned to project priorities and timelines.
- Monitor delivery performance and address blockers impacting the team.
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Maintain and regularly update RAID logs in line with PMO expectations.
- Manage change requests in collaboration with the Account Manager and PMO Lead.
- Work with delivery teams to assess impact, scope, and effort for changes.
- Monitor project budgets, burn rates, and forecasts.
- Ensure alignment with agreed commercial models (fixed price or time & materials).
- Identify and escalation risks related to budget, scope, or timeline.
- Experience in resource management and forecasting, with the ability to clearly communicate resource allocation timelines to the business and proactively optimise utilisation to maximise billable rates.
- Produce regular, high-quality status reports aligned with PMO standards.
- Ensure all reporting is accurate, timely, and reflects the true state of delivery.
- Contribute to portfolio-level reporting by providing consistent project data to the PMO.
- Reports to: PMO Lead.
- Works with: Team Leads, Consultants, Account Managers, Practice Leads, PMO, Client Stakeholders.
- On-Time Delivery: % of milestones delivered on or ahead of schedule
- Budget Adherence: Variance between forecast and actual project costs
- Delivery Framework Compliance: Adherence to PMO standards and documentation
- Risk Management Effectiveness: % of risks/issues proactively managed without escalation
- Client Satisfaction: Feedback on delivery execution and communication
- Reporting Accuracy: Timeliness and accuracy of project status updates
- 5-8+ years of project management experience, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment.
- Proven experience delivering technology, data, or analytics projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing both fixed-price and time & materials engagements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities (for example, juggling multiple projects at the same time, ability to reprioritise based on conflicting or changing priorities, etc.).
- Proactive, accountable, and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional, fast-paced delivery environments.
