Senior Microservices Developer, Platform Engineering

We are looking for a Senior Microservices Developer to join a Platform Engineering team at a large national media organization. This person will help build and modernize backend services that support content delivered to millions of users across web, mobile, streaming, and TV. We're looking for someone with strong experience in C#/.NET, Azure, microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture.
This is a great opportunity for a senior engineer who wants to stay hands-on while taking on technical ownership. You'll help design new services, modernize legacy content systems, improve engineering best practices, and mentor other developers. You'll work on high-volume distributed systems and have the opportunity to make a real impact on how the platform is built and scaled. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience
• Strong C#/.NET development experience
• Microservices architecture
• Azure Functions / serverless development
• Azure Service Bus or similar messaging technology
• Event-driven architecture
• RESTful API design and development
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals
• Experience with reliability, idempotency, concurrency, retries, and failure handling
• Testing and observability experience
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving development practices
