Job Description

We are seeking a Dimensional Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting hardware programs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in 3D variation simulation, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, and manufacturing process knowledge and a proven ability to drive geometry control strategies from concept through production with rigorous analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead or contribute to geometry control solutions, including 3D dimensional analysis and datum coordination to support functional and manufacturing build strategies.


• Lead tolerance analysis and GD&T development efforts with design teams, establishing and sharing best practices.


• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to generate concepts and detailed designs for high-volume products.


• Apply variation simulation modeling to solve complex mechanical design problems.


• Support robust measurement plan execution, including gage R&R studies with suppliers, authoring or reviewing MSOPs, and collaborating with metrology teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience.


• Experience developing 3D variation simulation analyses using Siemens VA (VisVSA), 3DCS, or CETOL.


• 5+ years of industry or academic experience.


• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques, including machining, 3D printing, and injection molding.


• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5), tolerance analysis, and associated metrology.


• Experience working on design teams across the product lifecycle from concept to start of production.

Preferred Skills:

• 5+ years of dimensional engineering experience with GD&T application and 3D variation simulation analyses (VisVSA preferred).


• 3+ years supporting high-volume products such as consumer tech, automotive, aerospace, consumer appliances, or medical devices.


• Experience with 3D CAD modeling (NX preferred).


• Experience creating scripts or algorithms for measurement data analysis and assembly simulation.


• Knowledge of MSA, Gage R&R, and statistical methods supporting PPAP.


• Experience with Minitab, Quantum XL, JMP, or similar statistical software.

Interview Process & Schedule:

• One 30-minute interview screen.


• Two 45-minute interviews.
