The Role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Test Lead / QA Automation Engineer to join a major enterprise environment in Sydney.

This role is ideal for a hands-on testing professional with strong ServiceNow experience and deep expertise in Automation Anywhere. You will take a key role in developing, executing, and enhancing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, establish effective test strategies, identify defects, and continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Automation Anywhere.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automated testing strategies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Execute automated tests, analyse results, and identify defects and opportunities for improvement.
• Continuously enhance automation frameworks, tools, and testing processes to improve efficiency and test coverage.
• Document test cases, test results, defects, and supporting testing artefacts.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback relating to software quality and testability.
• Work with development and delivery teams to investigate, track, and resolve defects.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on automation testing approaches and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across QA, testing, and automation practices.
• Support testing activities within Agile delivery environments.
• Stay current with emerging QA automation technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

What You'll Need

• 7-10 years of professional experience across quality assurance, software testing, and test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience working with ServiceNow.
• Strong expertise in Automation Anywhere.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts.
• Experience implementing, maintaining, and improving automated testing frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Experience using test management and defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with development, testing, delivery, and business teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams and environments.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience with performance testing and security testing.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Relevant certifications in quality assurance, software testing, or automation testing.
