Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Selb, Germany | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a leading energy infrastructure company that is instrumental in driving the energy transition and achieving climate goals. This organization is a significant player in the medium, high, and extra-high voltage substation projects across southeastern Germany, focusing on innovation and a people-first culture. The Role • Commission and test electrical equipment for substations ranging from medium to extra-high voltage (up to 380kV). • Analyze and resolve faults in protection and control systems, collaborating with expert teams. • Configure and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers. • Utilize modern testing equipment for the precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Support new construction and modernization projects for substations, including those for renewable energy sources. • Contribute directly to the successful implementation of the energy transition through client project involvement. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering. • Proven experience or strong aptitude in protection/control technology, with prior experience in commissioning switchgear preferred. • Familiarity with communication standards such as IEC 60870-5-101/103/104. • Proficiency with parameterization software (e.g., Siemens DIGSI 4/5, Schneider MICOM S1) and testing software (e.g., OMICRON Test Universe) is a plus. • Excellent teamwork, communication, and decision-making skills with strong German language proficiency. • Possess a valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel regularly (typically Monday-Thursday).
