Senior Tax Associate/Supervisor

Job DescriptionEnjoy tax….let’s talk! We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior/Supervisor to prepare/review tax returns. Must have at least two years’ experience working on any of the following types of returns: individuals, entities, trust, estate, and gift tax returns in a public accounting firm.\n\nThis position can be fully remote, hybrid or in any of our Chicago suburban offices: Frankfort or North brook. If remote, ideally within 2-hours driving distance from one of our offices for inperson meetings.

We offer flexible schedules to allow for work/life balance.\n\nJob details:\n\n Responsible for preparation and review of tax returns, including ensuring all Federal and state income tax returns are prepared timely, accurately and in compliance with applicable laws.\n Consulting with clients, reviewing their tax information and responding to questions and concerns.\n General accounting for business’ to be used in preparing income tax returns, including preparation of trial balances and related adjusting journal entries.\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n Bachelor’s degree\n Must have at least three years of experience working in a CPA firm preparing and/or reviewing tax returns.\n Prior experience with tax software (SurePrep, GoSystem, GFR preferred)\n Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.\n Able to handle multiple priorities, tasks, and simultaneous projects.\n Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)\n\n\nBenefits:\n\n Compensation Range: $83,500 - $95,000\n Medical/Dental\n Profit sharing program/401k\n MST and CPA reimbursement\n Annual bonus pool\n Work/life balance\n Flexible schedules\n Generous paid time off\n Summer Fridays\n Office closed between Christmas - New Years\n\n\nAbout us: At Friedman + Huey, we offer you the best of both worlds: the technical resources and breadth of experience of a mid-size accounting firm, together with the diversification, personal attention, and camaraderie of a smaller organization.
