Job Description

Advice Relationship Manager The Advice Relationship Manager owns the strategic direction and execution of a strong relationship management model within the assigned business units, engaging senior business stakeholders and execution partners to advance the enterprise Advice strategy and position. The role sets and drives the advice and financial planning methodology strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with key internal and external stakeholders, and serves as the primary advisor and liaison to the Advice Product Management, Governance and Enablement teams supporting regulatory initiatives related to advice product development. Through the establishment of effective relationship management processes and protocols, this role owns alignment of methodology execution across Advice Product, Advisory and Oversight stakeholders, translating strategic priorities into department-level and cross-functional business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Own and cultivate highly collaborative, senior-level relationships with business stakeholders and execution partners, positioning the Advice team as a trusted strategic partner in aligning methodology, advice product, and regulatory considerations - both in sustaining existing advice solutions and shaping the strategy for bringing new solutions to market.

  • Serve as an advisor to senior internal and external business stakeholders and execution partners, leading and shaping regular strategic discussions that guide their decisions and reinforce a unified Advice strategy and market position.

  • Serve as the department's subject-matter authority for foundational Advice and Financial planning methodologies, establishing and directing deep expertise and strategic relationships with key advice and financial planning vendors that shape the broader methodology roadmap.

  • Anticipate the problems, challenges, and long-term business strategies of senior stakeholders, proactively shaping how Advice evolves to address emerging needs and strengthen its competitive position.

  • Monitor competitive dynamics and translate that intelligence into strategic input that shapes the direction of the Advice methodology and product roadmap.

  • Direct and align UX, CX, Marketing, and IT Development teams to a consistent, senior-endorsed advice strategy, serving as the accountable voice for strategic coherence across these cross-functional partners.

Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience
  • 8+ Years Required; 10+ Years Preferred

FINRA Registrations
  • SRC Indicator: NRF

Physical Requirements
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

Career Level 10IC
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years experience in financial services with focus on the financial tech space, within advice and financial planning applications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years experience in financial services with focus on the financial tech space, within advice and financial planning applications
  • CFP strongly preferred; CFA or other financial planning designations helpful
  • Previous experience working with one of the following retirement advice platforms: Morningstar, Edelman Financial Engines, Guided Choice
  • Familiarity with the recordkeeping environment
  • Demonstrated success in relationship building w/ internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency with ERISA and investment advisory regulations
  • Previous experience working in an agile development framework

Base Pay Range: $157,000/yr - $197,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
