Job Description

Recruiter Assistant

Hartford, CT

6 months contract

Description:

As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will work with recruiters and hiring managers to schedule high volume interviews for internal and external candidates throughout the organization. In addition, you will provide support across Talent Acquisition initiatives as needed.


Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure a positive candidate experience by scheduling interviews based on calendar availability for hiring teams.
Greet guests and new hires when they arrive in the reception area.
Monitor various shared email boxes.
May schedule mid-level roles and work with Administrative Assistants on manager availability.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
College degree preferred.
Two years of experience in Customer Service or Talent Acquisition environment.
Ability to operate in an environment with high volume, ambiguity, and change.
Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and self-organize.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School degree.
One year of related work experience.

This is a temporary assignment anticipated to last 3 months, with the potential to extend for an additional 3 months based on business needs.

Prior experience coordinating and scheduling appointments, interviews, meetings, or similar activities is required.

Serves as the first point of contact for all visitors, creating a professional, welcoming, and positive first impression. Sets the tone for the overall visitor experience by maintaining a polished presence and delivering exceptional customer service.

Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple scheduling requests and deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable interacting with candidates and stakeholders via phone, email, and virtual platforms.

Professional demeanor with experience working in a corporate or professional office environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and experience with Workday or other applicant tracking/HCM systems would be a plus.

Basic Microsoft Excel skills required, including navigating spreadsheets and formatting data (advanced formulas are not required).

Experience working within a large, complex organization is preferred.

This is a hybrid position with standard business hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Ideal candidate will have strong scheduling and coordination experience but is not expected to have extensive recruiting experience. This role is focused on administrative support, scheduling, and candidate coordination rather than full-cycle recruitment.
