Epic Cupid Principal Trainer ** Hybrid Role **

Overview:

Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks accomplished Epic Cupid Principal Trainer.

*** Pay Rate: Flexible based on experience level.

Notes:

• Monday – Friday, with some evenings and weekends as required. Workday schedules may vary.
• Hybrid role.
• Work occurs at multiple sites, including 2001 The Embarcadero, Parnassus, Mission Bay, Laurel Heights, Oakland/Emeryville, Mt. Zion, Stanyan, Hyde, and other community partner locations.
• The expectation is approximately 50% on-site presence over the overall project duration, with the specific cadence varying by project phase and operational needs.
• On-site requirements may be lower during certain project phases and increase as we move further into MST/training and go-live readiness. Increased on-site presence should be anticipated for activities such as MST build, pilot training, Super User training, End User training, and go-live support. The exact schedule and frequency will continue to evolve based on project timelines, training plans, and operational needs.

Description:

• Involves the design, building, testing, and implementation of clinical application systems.
• Provides support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and clinical practice standards, when adapting software to meet their needs.
• Works with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols.
• Prepares detailed specs encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk, and impact analysis.
• May provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Epic certification in Cupid is a must have requirement.
• The APeX Principal Educator must achieve certification (within 12 months of hire) and support one or more of the following APeX applications: (Certified in an Epic Clinical application; preferred would be ClinDoc, Inpatient, Ambulatory, ASAP and/or Orders). Other applications depending on business needs (Certified in Epic Training, Environments and Documentation (TED) course).
• The Apex Principal Educator must also achieve company credentialing in one or more of the following training areas in order to support ongoing new hire training and other training initiative: (Epic Clinical Applications: Ambulatory, Orders, ClinDoc, Stork, Willow, Beacon, Kaleidoscope, Radiant, HOD, Home Health); Epic Revenue Cycle Applications (Prelude, ADT/Cadence, HB/PB, HIM, Optime Scheduling).
• Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of clinical applications, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, system testing, and evaluation.
• Strong problem-resolution and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to distinguish between application/build issues and training issues.
• Strong interpersonal and training skills, with the ability to work effectively with users at varying professional and technical levels.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior staff and managers and serve as a technical and training resource.
• Experience working with challenging or resistant end users and identifying/documenting system issues for follow-up by build analysts.
