API Engineer $130,000-$135,000k + Super Brisbane Java & Spring Boot & AWS Hybrid Working Banking & Finance About the Company

Talenza is partnering with an established banking organisation to recruit an API Engineer for its Customer Technology & Workflow team. The team supports customer-facing platforms across online and mobile banking, websites, contact centres and branch channels.

About the Role

You'll build APIs from scratch and integrate them with existing systems to support digital banking experiences. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring experience across API design, development, testing, deployment and integration.

Working with Java and Spring Boot, you'll deliver secure, reusable and reliable services within established architectural patterns. Reporting to the Integration Technical Lead, you'll collaborate with engineers, testers, architects and security teams, supporting APIs across OpenShift and AWS.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience designing and building APIs from scratch using Java and Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience integrating APIs with existing systems and services.
Understanding of API security, authentication and authorisation.
Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and cloud or container platforms such as AWS and OpenShift.
Ideally, a banking or payments background with experience delivering secure, reliable integrations.
