Job Description

We were early to the fight against Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance, and we’ve been pushing the edge ever since.

Our mission is to help government and enterprise organizations understand and manage commercial data risks, shape their digital signatures, and operate with confidence in an increasingly complex information landscape. We build and integrate advanced, tech-forward solutions to problems our customers often don’t know they have – until it matters most.

We move fast, think critically, and deliver where it counts.

What’s in it for you?

We work hard and do fun things.

You’ll work on high-impact, technically challenging problems alongside a team that values teamwork over competition. Veilant offers a solid work-life balance and flexible remote work options. At Veilant, you’ll work with the most talented software developers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts, building tools and systems that make a real difference.

System High, a Veilant company, protects critical national security programs and technologies through proactive, full-lifecycle protection—from early-stage R&D through operational execution.

We’re looking for a Contracts Administrator to join Veilant and directly support System High’s growing Contracts team.

This is an opportunity to deepen your federal contracting expertise while contributing to meaningful national security work. You’ll work alongside experienced Contracts professionals and partner across the business to keep agreements accurate, compliant, organized, and moving forward.

If you’re highly organized, attentive to detail, and motivated to grow your federal contracting career, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

You’ll support the full contract lifecycle and gradually take on greater ownership as you build your knowledge of System High’s contract portfolio. You will:

  • Assist with the preparation, review, administration, and organization of NDAs, subcontracts, modifications, and other contractual agreements
  • Track contract deliverables, funding levels, periods of performance, and key contractual deadlines
  • Support proposal efforts through document collection, formatting, compliance reviews, and submission coordination
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready contract files and contract management systems
  • Partner with Business Development, Finance, Program Management, Security, and other internal stakeholders to ensure contractual requirements, terms, and timelines are understood and fulfilled
  • Support annual reporting requirements, compliance tracking, and contract closeout activities
  • Review contracts and related documentation for compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable federal regulations, with guidance from senior Contracts professionals
  • Identify potential contractual issues early and help drive them toward resolution

What You’ll Accomplish in Your First Six Months

We want you to know what success looks like before you join. Within your first six months, you’ll be expected to:

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of System High’s contract portfolio, internal processes, and applicable federal contracting requirements
  • Take ownership of tracking contractual deliverables, deadlines, and documentation for an assigned portion of the subcontract portfolio
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready contract records
  • Successfully support at least one proposal submission or contract modification effort from initiation through completion
  • Build productive working relationships with key partners across Contracts, Finance, Program Management, Business Development, and Security
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify upcoming contractual requirements and deadlines proactively rather than simply reacting to them

What You’ll Bring

Must Haves

  • 1–5 years of experience supporting U.S. government contracts or federal contracting activities
  • Working familiarity with FAR and DFARS requirements
  • Familiarity with common government contract types, including FFP, CPFF, and T&M
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach to your work
  • A desire to continue developing your expertise in federal contracting

Nice to Haves

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) contracts
  • Experience with contract management systems, reporting platforms, or compliance tools
  • Experience supporting proposals, contract modifications, subcontract administration, or contract closeouts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Government, Contracts Management, or a related discipline

What is the Compensation Range for this role?

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 annually for full-time status. Actual compensation within this range at Veilant is determined by numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, including experience, education, certifications, technical skills, as well as contract-specific affordability and labor categories, the scope and responsibilities of the role, market and business considerations, and geographic location.
