Job Description
Our direct, Fortune 100 client is looking for a REMOTE Agile Delivery Owner / Scrum Master for a long-term, extendable contract position. You will leverage agile practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions that support the organization's business objectives. This role focuses on maximizing business value and optimizing flow by guiding agile teams to meet their goals. You will ensure effective coordination within and across teams, providing transparency on delivery progress to key stakeholders This position is open to fully remote candidates but will follow an ET schedule.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Facilitates Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensures they are effective, time-boxed, and aligned to agile principles.
- Removes impediments and shields the team from external distractions to maintain focus on sprint goals and delivery commitments.
- Coaches team members and stakeholders on agile practices, fostering collaboration, self-organization, and continuous improvement.
- Monitors team health and progress (e.g., velocity, blockers), and drives improvements to delivery performance and team effectiveness.
Essential Skills:
- Leads coordination and agile ceremonies to drive delivery of high-value outcomes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, clear prioritization, and effective dependency and risk management.
- Establishes and sustains a high-performing team by applying lean/agile practices, protecting team focus, and promoting sustainable delivery and engineering excellence.
- Uses metrics and data-driven insights to monitor team health, improve predictability, increase transparency with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement.
Plusses:
- Experience guiding agile teams through quarterly or program level planning, including goal setting and dependency alignment.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills supporting collaboration across product, technology, and business partners.
- Experience coaching teams at varying levels of agile maturity and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to use delivery metrics (such as throughput, cycle time, or work in progress) to inform team decisions and improvements.
- Experience working on a project team(s) that integrate data from external sources and apply business logic to transform it into technical solutions
