We're looking for a Senior Business Partner, Programme Management Office to join our team in London. This role offers a salary of £48,000 - £54,000.

Job Purpose

The Business Partner, Programme Management Office will act as a trusted partner to the business, leading the end-to-end delivery of a strategic programme while supporting and guiding the wider portfolio of change initiatives across ICAEW.

The role is accountable for shaping, mobilising and delivering a defined programme aligned to ICAEW's strategic and operational priorities, ensuring clear outcomes, effective governance and successful benefits realisation. Alongside this, the postholder will work across a broader set of projects and initiatives to provide guidance, challenge and assurance, supporting consistent and high-quality delivery across the portfolio.

Working across business and technology teams, the role will drive integrated delivery within their programme, while enabling informed decision-making more widely through high-quality governance, insight and reporting.

What you will be doing;

  • Act as a business partner across ICAEW to shape, guide and support delivery of change initiatives across the full portfolio, while leading the delivery of a defined programme.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of an assigned programme, defining scope, structure, outcomes and success measures, and driving integrated delivery across business and technology teams.
  • Act as a trusted partner to sponsors and business leads across multiple initiatives, providing guidance, challenge and support to ensure alignment to the ICAEW change framework.
  • Establish and maintain governance for the assigned programme, provide oversight and assurance across wider projects, and deliver clear reporting on progress, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Drive outcomes and benefits realisation within the assigned programme, support the business in tracking benefits across wider initiatives, and enable effective transition into BAU operations.
  • Proactively identify, manage and escalate programme risks and issues, and provide oversight and challenge on risks and dependencies across the wider portfolio.
  • Contribute to the development of the ICAEW change framework, championing consistent use of tools and templates and maintaining key artefacts and documentation.
  • Provide leadership across matrixed programme teams, promote a collaborative and outcomes-driven culture, and deputise for the PMO Director as required.
  • Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.

What you will need;

  • Proven experience managing complex programmes or multiple concurrent projects, with a strong understanding of programme and project management methodologies and governance.
  • Demonstrable experience of stakeholder management at senior level, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including board-level reporting.
  • Ability to operate across business and technology teams to deliver integrated outcomes, comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear insights, using Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Experience of benefits realisation and outcome-focused delivery, with strong risk and issue management capability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Teams, Copilot and Power BI; a programme or project management qualification is desirable, as is an understanding of the accountancy profession.
