The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks safely and efficiently.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container moves and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Strong commitment to safety and keen attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
